Currently I’m hosting a missionary family of four from Korea (in transit from PNG) for a week. It’s a wonderful experience to share stories of God at work in our lives, to exchange cultural difference, and for me in particular – try some new foods. It’s one of the joys of being a part of the family of God. United through our commitment of being a follower of Jesus, which takes precedence over creed, language, culture. It’s a taste of heaven.
I see Girls’ Brigade to be similar. We are part of a global group that is united in a common goal of desiring to see the lives of girls and young women transformed by an amazing God who cares for each one of us. And there is no better time than now to celebrate the 130 years that Girls’ Brigade has kept that focus and brings about fruit. Give thanks to God for the privilege to serve our community and be active members of the family of God.
As Paul affirms the church in Colossae, “… in the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world, … “ Colossians 1:3-6 let us celebrate Girls’ Brigade. Blessings to you all.
